Professor Bárta wrote the publication The Seven Laws: How Civilizations Rise, Peak, and Fall on this topic. “Laws describe how the civilisations are born, how they develop, reach the highlight, go through the crisis, transform themselves and grow again. In the movie, we urge our viewers to respect the laws, if those are known to us, in order to make our civilization more stable and sustainable towards our planet” explains Professor Bárta.

However, for the needs of the documentary, these Seven Laws about the rise and the downfall theory were simplified. “Our aim was really not to vulgarise the science while trying to communicate about it towards a broad audience. We definitely need the communication bridge between the public and the scholars to exist as this is important not only for the scientists, so they do not get lost in the tiny details of their research, but also for us, who aren’t immersed deep down to the scientific research” adds Petr Horký.
